easy life鈥檚 debut album, 鈥榣ife鈥檚 a beach鈥�, has a title that makes total sense, argues easy life front-man Murray, when you鈥檙e 鈥渇rom slap bang in the middle of the country, geographically as far from the nearest seaside as possible.鈥� The beach of 鈥榣ife鈥檚 a beach鈥� is not, then, a Caribbean hideaway. It鈥檚 Margate and Morecombe, the postcard imagery of Martin Parr, the swimming pool of Sexy Beast.

A band formed right down to the name itself as an escape (wherever you鈥檙e from, or from your inner demons), songs like 鈥榓 message to myself鈥� cement easy life鈥檚 place in the world - as musicians, as young men, and as beacons of positivity. Or as Murray sums up their upcoming debut album - 鈥渋t鈥檚 a record that wishes it was anywhere else but here, yet at the same time fixates on a dreary middle England existence.鈥�

鈥榣ife鈥檚 a beach鈥� follows easy life鈥檚 accomplished mixtapes 鈥� 鈥榗reature habits鈥�, 鈥榮paceships鈥�, and 鈥榡unk food鈥� (which charted in the top 10 and featured their only duet to date, Arlo Parks). The Leicester five-piece won 鈥楤est New British Act鈥� at the 2020 NME Awards, and have amassed a huge live audience around the world with their unique brand of optimism.
