A ‘Newton lass’ with a newly published book, a wee sound postcard from a holiday at home, and good news for local pipe bands.

Fiona McDonald’s new collection of writing, the prospect of summer music outings for pipe bands, a sound postcard from a holiday at home and cautiously moving forward in Kilkeel.

Helen Mark, Rab Lennox and Willie Hill welcome Fiona McDonald to the programme to hear about her newly published collection of writing - as well as poems and prose, there’s even a recipe for Tablet! Rab talks to Mark Hasson of RSPBA NI to hear more about the proposed pipe band festivals being planned for the summer. Gareth Crozier from the Schomberg Centre in Kilkeel talks about moving forward with cautious optimism in registering children for the local summer schemes, despite the current Covid setbacks, and there’s a wee sound postcard from two families enjoying a “holiday at home”.
