Croatia are making their fifth successive appearance at the European Championships, having reached the final of a major tournament for the first time at the World Cup three years ago. However, several key players have since retired, and much rests on the fitness of 35-year-old captain and record appearance holder Luka Modric.
The Czech Republic have been ever-present at the Euros since splitting from Slovakia in 1993 and made the final at Euro 1996.
