Singer-songwriter Joel Culpepper chats to Stuart about his debut album 'Sgt Culpepper'

On today鈥檚 show, South-East London singer-songwriter Joel Culpepper talks about his debut album 鈥楽gt Culpepper鈥�. The new album has been over two years in the making alongside his long time producer Swindle. The album also features additional production from the likes of pop producer Guy Chambers, Raf Rundell and Tom Misch. On collaborating, Joel says 鈥淚鈥檝e been inspired by how the UK Jazz and Grime scene supports each other. When Guy Chambers, Swindle and myself worked together 鈥� it felt like pop, grime, and soul coming together. They鈥檙e family鈥� 鈥楽gt Culpepper鈥� follows the release of his two EP鈥檚 鈥楽kydive鈥� in 2012 and 鈥楾ortoise鈥� in 2017.
