Ayrshire- based singer-songwriter Matt Hickman has used the challenges of the last year to leap into the equally difficult world of acting and directing, finding time to pop up in a new Scottish horror film and also to make his own film, his directorial debut. He’ll be joining Janice to discuss his latest projects.

Janice will be hearing about how this year’s Edinburgh Science Festival is focusing on women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) by creating a trail around Edinburgh of portraits of brilliant women who have excelled in their respective fields.

Author Rachael Fulton will be discussing being shortlisted for the world’s biggest short story prize, The Sunday Times Audible Award, for her story ‘Call’ about two sisters at breaking point.

Staying with short stories, writer Kate Roy will be talking about her contribution to a brand new anthology of stories all written by neurodivergent writers, called In Other Words.

And Janice will be playing a brand new track for our Single of the Week, from Starry Skies.
