Experiments in Living - Not staying in your lane
Inspired by Manchester International Festival, this week we're working across disciplines with Max Porter and Heather Phillipson, Paolo Chianta and Malaika Kegode.
As the Manchester International Festival opens we celebrate aritsts working across media and creating hybrid forms. Heather Phillipson is a poet and a visual artist whose work appears in the new exhibition at the festival created by Hans Ulrich Obrist & Lemn Sissay, 'Poet Slash Artist'. The author of 'Grief is the thing with Feathers' and Lanny, Max Porter has written a new film starring Cillian Murphy which will premier at MIF.
Paolo Chianta is the latest writer who has written us a short audio drama on the theme of 'Experiments in Living', in conjection with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Writer's Room. 'Brighter Later' is directed by Lorna Newman.
Malaika Kegode is a performance poet who has found herself pushed into new territory through her work with Prog-Folk band Jakabol, resulting in their autobiographical theatre-gig 'Outlier'
