For Independence Day, the Ulster-Scot who left his mark on the USA, celebrating our bluegrass connections at home and the online sensation putting a Lambeg drum centre stage.

For the Fourth of July, we hear about the designer from Upperlands who left his mark on the United States. David Gilliland tells us about a new bluegrass music celebration from the Ulster-Scots Community Network and we’ve a poem reminding Uncle Sam not to forget the importance of his Ulster-Scots recruits.
Gibson Young looks in on the shearing shed at a Glastry farm, listener Ann Hamill sends a sound postcard from one of her favourite places, and Willie Hill has a yarn with Willie Drennan about the internet sensation that puts Mr Hill’s favourite drum centre stage - the Lambeg Boogie. Helen Mark, Rab Lennox and Diana Culbertson complete the line-up on this, Kintra’s third birthday.
