"Too much information!"
Sean ponders a few superstitions, and gets a little more information than he bargained for.
"Mr Coyle!" says Pawnbroker, "It's our youngest wain's 22nd birthday today. She has just moved into a new apartment. Can you play Barcelona by Freddie Mercury for her? I've told her to tune in."
"But tell me this," Sean says, "What day did she move in? Years ago they used to say, don't move on a Saturday: 'A Saturday flit is a short sit'"
"I was getting a hip replacement one time," says Marie in Belfast, "I was ready to go home, on a Saturday, and I refused point blank to leave until the next day! Call me superstitious but I just couldn't leave..."
"I wonder," says Sean, "who started all that? 'Away and scratch yourself, doctor! I'm not leaving!'"
"Do you remember," Blaithin says, "when you put on something inside out, you wouldn't turn it back as it would turn your luck?"
"I never heard of that!" Sean says.
"I still do that," Blaithin adds. "Sometimes I put my drawers on inside out."
"Too much information!"
With music from The Everly Brothers, Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge, Bobby Darin, Fleetwood Mac, Freddie Mercury, and more.
