The Hong Kongese director Wong Kai War has been described as 鈥榯he directors鈥� director鈥� and counts Quentin Tarantino, Sofia Coppola and Barry Jenkins among his fans. As the Glasgow Film Theatre launches a Wong Kai War season, film critic Paul Gallagher will be along to tell us why he鈥檚 so esteemed and why we should get to grips with his work, if we haven鈥檛 already.

Janice will be celebrating Bhangra music in the company of fellow 大象传媒 Radio Scotland presenter Ravi Sagoo, as he discusses the television and radio programmes he has made about the Scottish Bhangra scene past and present.

We鈥檒l hear from director Ben Sharrock and actor Amir El-Masry, the director and star of very funny new film Limbo, which has shades of Bill Forsyth, about a young Syrian musician and other refugees seeking asylum on a remote Scottish island.
