Proms 2021: The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic

Another chance to hear John StorgÃ¥rds, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic and Liza Ferschtman perform Schumann's Third Symphony, Byström's Parallel Universes and Sibelius's Violin Concerto.

Ian Skelly introduces another chance to hear the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic with Chief Guest Conductor John StorgÃ¥rds, as part of this year's Proms, in Schumann's Symphony No. 3 and Britta Byström's 'Parallel Universes', a piece commissioned by the ´óÏó´«Ã½, inspired by cosmologist Max Tegmark’s notion of a ‘hierarchical multiverse’. Liza Ferschtman joins them, making her Proms debut, for Sibelius's Violin Concerto. The Prom is presented by Petroc Trelawny, from the Royal Albert Hall, in London.
