This morning Kate talks to Jennifer Hudson, the star of a new film, Respect, that follows two decades in the life of Aretha Franklin. Kate finds out how Jennifer stepped in the role of an icon, but also a friend, the late Queen of Soul. Plus how their shared Baptist faith sustained both women during the most difficult times of their lives, and how Jennifer recreated one of the most successful gospel albums of all times, Aretha's Amazing Grace.

We also meet a new Charity Champion, someone doing something extraordinary to help their community and they hear from listeners celebrating the achievements of loved ones going that extra mile (often, literally!) to help others.
