In the first of two special shows presented by Zoe Ball, Radio 2 Live: Across The UK brings you Westlife, in concert in Belfast, and Steps, in concert in Manchester.

From the historic Ulster Hall, before a live audience, Westlife perform hits that led to sales of 55m records and 33 Number One albums worldwide. In the UK, the band has had 14 Number One singles, an achievement bettered only by Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

You'll hear the band talking to Zoe just before they begin their show at the beautiful, Grade A listed Ulster Hall, very close to Belfast City Hall. It’s been welcoming artists since 1862 – Charles Dickens read A Christmas Carol and David Copperfield there five years later and Led Zeppelin played Stairway To Heaven there for the first time in 1971.

Recorded live at the famous Ritz in the heart of Manchester, and introduced on stage by Sara Cox, one of the defining dance-pop groups of the 90s, Steps perform iconic hits such as ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Stomp.’ This is Steps’ first live performance in front of an audience in more than three years and the band say they cannot wait to play some of their latest singles and Steps classics.

Again Sara will talk to Faye and Claire just before they go onto a stage which has previously hosted everyone from The Beatles and Frank Sinatra to The Happy Mondays and Arctic Monkeys.
