"Go-on solve an argument for me," says Tamnaherin Cowboy. "Is eggnog made with fried egg over purdies, or raw egg over purdies?"

"Well I'll tell you how I eat eggnog," Sean says, "how my mother made eggnog, and how my wife makes eggnog. And it's just boiled purdies (as they say) and it could be described as scrambled egg, poured over the spuds, with plenty of milk. Making a sort of gravy. As it were."

Janet shakes her head.

"Janet, you're not happy with it?"

"I thought it was a drink," Janet says.

"It is a drink. As well. But this is the meal."

"But," Emma says, "have you tried it with bits of bacon on it? Oh yes! Slice the bacon finely, and it's lovely."

Janet is not happy.

"You put it over the spuds, Janet!" Sean explains.

"Not in our house!"
