Burpees For Breakfast with Joe Wicks

National Treasure Joe Wicks chats to Dermot about his new book for children called The Burpee Bears.

Known to millions of fans as 鈥榯he Body Coach鈥�, Joe Wicks is the bestselling author of ten cookbooks and the founder of Lean in 15. His chart-topping first book is the second-highest-selling cookbook of all time. Joe is the only non-fiction author to have secured three number-one titles in one year following his subsequent releases in 2016 of Lean in 15 鈥� The Shape Plan, and Lean in 15 鈥� The Sustain Plan. His most recent book, Joe鈥檚 Family Food, went straight to number two in the overall charts on its release in June this year and went to number one in the Food & Drink charts. Joe鈥檚 passion for fitness was sparked at a young age, and he trained as a PE teacher after graduating from his degree in Sports Science at St Mary鈥檚 University in Twickenham. Joe helped to keep spirits high by becoming 鈥榯he Nation's PE Teacher鈥� during the 2020 lockdown. Every weekday, Joe delivered remote 鈥楶E鈥� sessions to children and adults alike 鈥� cementing his position as a national treasure. Through his daily live workouts, Joe has raised over 拢550,000 for the NHS as well as breaking a Guinness World Record after one of his 鈥楶E鈥� classes was watched live by 955,000 people on YouTube. Joe Wicks was awarded an MBE in October 2020 for his work during the pandemic.
