Wednesday - Mighty River

The Ulster Orchestra perform Errollyn Wallen's Mighty River and Schubert's Fourth 'Tragic' Symphony, plus Joel Thompson's Seven Last Words of the Unarmed.

As part of Radio 3's focus on Black History Month, Penny Gore introduces the Ulster Orchestra in Errollyn Wallen's Mighty River and the 大象传媒 Singers in Joel Thompson's Seven Last Words of the unarmed, both in new recordings. The Ulster Orchestra also play Schubert's Fourth Symphony and Poulenc's Sinfonietta, and there's more from La Folia Baroque Orchestra.
