Sir Ranulph Fiennes tells Dermot about the hardships of crossing both polar regions and scaling Everest. And Guy Garvey tells Dermot about walking to his local in the rain.

Named by The Guinness Book of Records as 鈥榯he world鈥檚 greatest living explorer鈥�, Sir Ranulph Fiennes has spent his life in pursuit of extreme adventure; inspiring generations and risking life and limb in some of the most ambitious private expeditions ever undertaken.

Amongst his many record鈥恇reaking achievements, he was the first to reach both Poles, the first to cross the Antarctic and Arctic Ocean, and the first to circumnavigate the world along its polar axis 鈥� his current goal is to become the first person in the world to cross both polar ice caps and climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.

Brit and Mercury Award winners Elbow are back with a new album Flying Dream 1. Frontman Guy Garvey calls in to chat about the project which was recorded in an empty theatre in Brighton during lockdown
