"Why didn't you give the answer?"
Terence gets an answer to yesterday's question, about unlucky ladders.
"We all know the saying, 'donkeys years'," says Kate in Portrush.
"Yes," Sean says, "as in, 'I haven't seen you in donkeys years, how are you doing?'"
"But what," Kate says, "is the origin of that?"
"I really don't know." Sean says. "They say it's a very rare sight to see a donkey dying. That's what they say... I don't know how true it is."
Meanwhile Terence is asking about yesterday's question. "You didn't give an answer," he says, "to yesterday's question, the one about why it is regarded as unlucky when you walk under a ladder. Well it's to do with the shape of the ladder against the wall - the ladder, the ground, the wall - a triangle. And they say if you walk through you're breaking the Trinity."
"Apparently," says an Armagh listener, "donkeys ears never flap down."
"OK," says Sean. "I didn't know that. What has that got to do with donkeys years?"
