Will Smith is an actor, rapper, singer and film producer best known for starring in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Independence Day, Men in Black and Aladdin. Will has been twice-nominated for Best Actor at the Academy awards, for his roles as boxer Muhammad Ali in Ali and for his role as stockbroker Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happyness.

Pause For Thought
This weekend we all worked hard for Children in Need. I鈥檓 convinced that a child never needs a good talking to as much as a good listening to. A group of ten year olds in a geography class were asked to name some of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon, Victoria Falls, and the Great Wall of China were in every list 鈥� as you鈥檇 expect. One quiet girl was having difficulty putting anything on paper. When teacher asked why, she admitted there were so many wonders in the world she couldn't make up her mind which ones to choose. "Well tell us what you have and we'll help you" the teacher suggested. The pupil stood up and read "The seven wonders of the world are..." (And she whispered her list) 鈥渢o touch, to taste, to see, to hear..." She looked up and hesitated for a moment before continuing "to run, to laugh, to love." That little girl had the kind of wisdom no book could teach.

I have frequently discovered that children have insights beyond their age. A few months ago, I was standing outside our Church one Sunday. A mother had her five-year-old son by the hand. She came straight over to tell me what her precious child had prayed for during the service.
He blurted out his prayer himself. 鈥淛esus, please make my mum and dad better soon because they are very bad people.鈥� Still laughing, I tried to explain that when you speak to God it鈥檚 always better just to thank God 鈥� especially for your mum and dad.
听
As it happened, I met mum next day and she rushed to tell me what her wee lad did that morning. As she was getting ready to take him to school he jumped on her lap and said, 鈥淢om I don鈥檛 need to thank God for you; you听are God听for me.鈥� He hugged her and jumped off her lap ready for another day with his school pals. No wonder Jesus prayed: 鈥淭hank you Father for hiding these things from the wise and revealing them听to听little children.鈥� What鈥檚 even more important is that God reveals wisdom听through听little children too鈥� out of the mouths of babes!
