Christmas Party with Gregory Porter and Adeel Akhtar

Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad get excited for Christmas, and welcome Gregory Porter and BAFTA award winning actor Adeel Akhtar to their festive celebrations.

On their last show before Christmas, Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad get the party started with gifts, carols and extra special guests.

As is tradition, they have surprises in store for each other, and all the Christmas hymns, carols and festive classics you need for the last Sunday before Christmas Day.

Joining their Christmas party is the Grammy Award winning jazz sensation Gregory Porter. He鈥檚 just released a new album, 鈥楽till Rising鈥�, which features new songs and old favourites and celebrates a decade on from releasing his first ever single. He tells Jason about his plans for Christmas and talks movingly about the impact of Covid on him and his family and the loss of his brother Lloyd.

Kate and Jason also welcome the BAFTA award winning actor Adeel Akhtar (Utopia, Four Lions) to talk about the new Aardman (Wallace and Gromit) animated Christmas tale Robin Robin on Netflix. It tells the story of an optimistic young robin who is raised by a family of mice. He tells Kate and Jason about how easy he found it to connect with Dad Mouse, the character he voices in Robin Robin, what it was like making his singing debut in the movie and how he鈥檚 a lifelong Aardman fan.
