Bringing the year to a close with a special gathering for Hogmanay with music, memories and laughs

Join the Kintra team and friends as they gather to celebrate the end of the year with words and music – expect plenty of memories and laughter.

The Kintra team gather to mark the end of the year with guests Matthew Warrick, who’s written an Ulster-Scots version of the 12 Days of Christmas for the team to join in with, and Sally Young who remembers her granny’s superstitions about the end of one year and the start of another. There’s music from team member Diana Culbertson and from the Low Country Boys, a poem from Roy Ferguson and plenty of banter from all the team members; Helen Mark, Rab Lennox, Jonnie Crawford, Sylvia Burnside and Willie Hill.
A happy, healthy new year from all on the Kintra programme!

As always, the team love to hear from listeners – you can email them with comments, ideas, a yarn to share or an Ulster-Scots event to promote - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
