Lyse Doucet asks some of the 大象传媒's top journalists to gaze into their crystal balls and predict what 2022 might have in store. This time last year we were boldly asking what a post-Covid world might look like. Little did we know that 12 months later, world leaders would be trying to deal with the chaos caused by a highly transmissable variant.

Is 2022 the year the whole world gets vaccinated? How will the midterm elections play out in the United States? Can Boris Johnson restore his reputation after a torrid 2021? What impact will Germany's new chancellor Olaf Scholz have? And what fate awaits the people of Afghanistan?
