Alice heads down a dangerous path while Adam gets suited and booted

A prospective client for the yoghurt at Bridge Farm is due with no-one but Susan available to show her round. Clarrie鈥檚 off sick and Susan鈥檚 at a loss. Tony鈥檚 tied up fixing a fence with Johnny, but promises to sort it. Adam鈥檚 drafted in, though Susan鈥檚 not happy with such a novice. Adam promises to stay out of the way and act as background support. The client, Lorraine, is impressed with the taste and texture of the yoghurt, and with the set up as a whole. Susan鈥檚 relieved, until the issue of hazard analysis is raised, under an acronym which blindsides her. Experienced manager Adam steps in and takes over. As the client leaves it鈥檚 clear she thinks Susan鈥檚 the trainee rather than Adam, leaving Susan fuming. Adam laughs that the main thing is she loved the product.

Lilian and Alice chat in the tackroom after a ride. They鈥檙e interrupted by Chris, who insists Lilian stays around to hear what he has to say to Alice. He wants their divorce done as soon as possible. He needs Alice to think about citing some instances of unreasonable behaviour. Shocked Alice can鈥檛. And what鈥檚 the rush? Chris insists he鈥檚 barely coping and can鈥檛 live uncertainty anymore. Alice refuses to call Chris unreasonable, so Chris states he鈥檒l just have to cite her behaviour instead. He leaves, asking Lilian to look after Alice. Alice doesn鈥檛 blame Chris, and states firmly that he鈥檚 doing the right thing. Concerned Lilian keeps checking on Alice, who declares she鈥檚 fine, before ordering two bottles of vodka.
