Kerry McLean welcomes pupils From across Northern Ireland to Blackstaff House in Belfast as the search begins for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland School Soloist of the Year 2022.

There are three categories in this year’s competition, with Primary (P5 to P7, inclusive), Junior Secondary (Year 8 to 11, inclusive) and Senior Secondary (Year 12 to 14, inclusive).

This week we hear singers in the first of three Primary and first of six Senior Secondary heats, with two from each making it through to the semi-finals.

Primary School Heat 1:

Senior Secondary School Heat 1:

Hannah McCann from Rathmore Grammar School, Dunmurry.
Aoibh Logue from St Cecilia's College, Derry.
Leah Radcliffe from Banbridge Academy.
Sinead McGowan from Loreto Grammar School, Omagh.
