Ground Rent; Storm Arwen; Royal Mail

We speak to leaseholders who have ground rent that's linked to inflation - which is expected to rise this year. And why Royal Mail's struggling to deliver due to Covid absences

Most housebuilders have struck out clauses from contracts which meant that people with leasehold properties had ground rent that doubled every ten years after an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority. It made their homes almost impossible to sell. But over a hundred thousand homewners aren't included in the changes because they have ground rent which is linked to inflation. And with prices expected to continue to rise this year, that's causing problems.

Royal Mail is the latest company to struggle with staff absences caused by Coronavirus - we speak to listeners whose Christmas cards arrived last week.

And we catch up with some of those still feeling the effects of Storm Arwen, including households in the North East that still haven't had their broadband reconnected.
