Ricky Wilson
Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad chat to Kaiser Chiefs frontman and former art teacher Ricky Wilson about brand new C´óÏó´«Ã½ show Britain’s Best Young Artist.
Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad chat to Kaiser Chiefs frontman and former art teacher, Ricky Wilson, about 'Britain’s Best Young Artist'. Ricky has teamed up with award-winning Radio 1 presenter, Vick Hope for a brand new C´óÏó´«Ã½ show, which sees 27 budding young artists from around the UK compete to be crowned Britain’s Best Young Artist. Ricky tells Kate and Jason about his experience as one of the judges and what viewers can expect from the new show. They also talk about his Radio 2 programme, 'Ricky Wilson’s Rock and Roll Classics', which is returning in March for a second three-part series.
Kate and Jason are also joined by writer and journalist Cole Moreton to discuss his brand new podcast ‘Can We Talk?’, a series of original and beautifully crafted half-hour monologues, with each episode focusing on a single encounter with a particular person. The first series include stories of Cole’s encounters with Scarlett Johansson, Tiger Woods, Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela and Her Majesty The Queen. Cole tells Kate and Jason about his career, his encounters with an incredible range of people - famous, infamous and otherwise extraordinary and the lessons which we can learn from connecting with each other.
Cole Moreton is an author, writer and broadcaster who writes cover features for the Mail on Sunday. His Radio 4 series The Boy Who Gave His Heart Away won Audio Moment of the Year at the ARIAS, the radio industry Oscars, as well as Best Documentary at the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Awards and several golds including Best Writing at the New York Festival. He was recently shortlisted for Best Speech Presenter at the Audio Production Awards.
