Gus from alt-J shares his personal indie playlist

Sing along to Gus from alt-J's journey through indie music, from early discoveries to brand new bangers!

Sing along to Gus from alt-J's journey through indie music, from early discoveries to brand new bangers!

alt-J dropped their iconic debut album 'An Awesome Wave' back in 2012, which went on to win the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Their follow-up, 'This Is All Yours', topped the UK charts and earned them a Grammy nomination, while third album 'Relaxer' led to another Mercury nomination.

Having released their brand new album 'The Dream' just last week, Gus from alt-J has taken time out of the band's busy schedule to reminisce about his love for indie music by curating his own personal playlist for 6 Music and 大象传媒 Sounds.

Hear Gus share tales of how his journey of indie discovery began on a train ride back in 2003, just before he bought his very first album, through to DJing at club nights in Cambridge and becoming a name within the very same scene he so admires.

Featuring classics from Jamie T, CSS, Hot Chip, Kings of Leon and Tom Vek, alongside new stompers by The Beths and Marika Hackman.
