Laura van der Heijden and Friends

John Toal introduces the last of four recitals featuring British cellist Laura van der Heijden and friends. They were recorded in St. Mark’s Church Dundela in east Belfast: the church in which CS Lewis was baptised and where his grandfather was rector.

Laura won the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Young Musician of the Year competition in 2012 and is well-known for her collaborative music-making. Today she’s joined by the British-German violinist Max Bailie and her colleagues in the Redon Quartet for performances of works by JS Bach, Bartók, Brahms and the contemporary Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova.
