Simple Minds, Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, perform live at Maida Vale accompanied by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2's Piano Room Month. From their Glasgow roots they became one of the biggest bands of the 1980's with hits including Don't You (Forget About Me), Glittering Prize and Belfast Child. Simple Minds have enjoyed five UK Number 1 albums and sold more than 60 million worldwide. In January this year, they released Act of Love to mark the anniversary of their very first performance at Glasgow's Satellite City on 17 January 1978.

Next month, they embark on their long-awaited a world tour to celebrate 40 years of hits, arriving in the UK on the 31st March. Their Piano Room set features Alive And Kicking, Someone Somewhere (In The Summertime) and their cover version of Californian band The Call's, The Walls Came Down.
