Live from Albert Square!

On the launch day for the new EastEnders schedule change Zoe and Richie take a trip to Albert Square to chat to some of the cast, and explore the brand new set at Elstree Studios!

Zoe Ball and Richie Anderson take a trip to Albert Square on the first day of the new EastEnders schedule change. The show will now air Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on 大象传媒 One.

They'll also be given a tour around the brand new set, and chat to some of the cast members including Natalie Cassidy,

Plus we're bringing back Backstage Ball and Zoe will speak to one of the production members who's worked on the Square for over 30 years!

Along with Clare Runacres on news, Richie on travel and Mike Williams on sport, she and the team have the best start to your morning. With celeb guests, headlines, and more music than you can shake a glitterball at!

There's also a daily Pause For Thought and listeners on the line, as Zoe entertains the nation with fun for the family!

Pause For Thought

Walking in the beautiful countryside here on a superb spring day became a prayer in itself. But I got a rude awakening when a speeding sports car flung a flood of near biblical proportions over me. Instantly I wanted to shout at the driver using words clergy shouldn鈥檛 even know. After 10 seconds, I took a deep breath and laughed. For me, the secret of contentment is to be able to laugh at myself. It鈥檚 part of fostering a common-sense perspective on life. A willingness to forgive and to trust gives us that perspective.听

听

Forgiveness is the beginning, middle and end of peaceful living. The experience of being forgiven, especially when we don鈥檛 even realise we need it, renews us and buoys us up. I have come to believe that true forgiveness begins when we admit there is a Higher Power at work. Anyone struggling with addiction understands what handing over to a Higher Power achieves. A recovering alcoholic recently condensed his wisdom in these words: 鈥淲e squander health in search of wealth, we scratch and toil and save. Then we squander wealth in search of health and only find a grave.鈥�

听

Trust is the first fruit of forgiveness. Martin Luther King is a good example. During his campaign for civil rights and justice, he lived under constant threats from all sides. One night he answered his phone only to hear a sinister voice warning him to get out of town or be killed. King fretted all evening. At midnight he was still pacing the floor in a panic. In despair he put his head on the kitchen table and prayed: 鈥淕od I鈥檓 too scared to go on. I have reached the end.鈥� Years later King recalled how the Spirit of Truth spoke to him in that dark moment. In his heart he was certain he heard the promise: 鈥淵ou stand for justice, and I will stand beside you.鈥� From that moment on, Dr King was often scared, but he never again allowed fear to deter him. Perspective, forgiveness, hope and humour 鈥� are all part of our journey; because even though it is good to have an end to journey towards, it鈥檚 the journey that matters most in the end.
