Classical music for your journey

Spririted impressions of 19th-century Georgia, lyrical songs from Faure and Romanian-Scottish vocalist Lizabett Russo, a fairytale-like scherzo, and Mozart in courtly mode.

Today's eclectic mixtape begins with Elizabeth Jacquet de La Guerre's overture to her 1694 opera Cephale et Procris, and finishes with some spririted impressions of late 19th-century Georgia. We'll also hear lyrical songs from Faure and Romanian-Scottish vocalist Lizabett Russo, a fairytale-like orchestral scherzo, and Mozart in courtly mode, alongside music by Brahms, Bach and Bruckner.
