Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Georgia Cécile Take 5
Jamie looks ahead to the 2022 Cheltenham Jazz Festival with music from this year’s stars and classic live tracks. Plus a Take 5 interview with Scottish singer Georgia Cécile.
Jamie looks ahead to the Cheltenham Jazz Festival – an annual celebration of music in the Cotswolds which takes pride of place in Radio 2’s jazz calendar. It is also an event he knows particularly well, as 2022 will mark his 10th time performing there!
Expect to hear classic live tracks recorded at previous festivals, including a duet featuring Jamie himself, as well as music from artists on this year’s star studded line-up.
The Scottish singer Georgia Cécile also joins for a Take 5 interview. After a phenomenal year which saw her release debut album Only The Lover Sings and support Gregory Porter at the Royal Albert Hall, she is playing twice at this year’s festival. She speaks about the artists that got her into jazz, gigs which have shaped her and how excited she is to be taking the stage at Cheltenham.
