UK Eurovision Representative Sam Ryder chooses his Tracks Of My Years

Sam Ryder is representing the UK at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Space Man" and he is in chatting with Ken Bruce about his picks for Tracks of My Years.

Sam Ryder is representing the UK at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy in May with the song "Space Man" and is chatting with Ken Bruce about his picks for Tracks of My Years, which include Iron Maiden, Stevie Wonder as well as his hero Freddie Mercury.

Sam began working in the music industry as a singer and guitarist in 2009 and he rose to prominence thanks to TikTok, starting in the first Lockdown during the Pandemic in March 2020 posting his music covers. By the end of that year he became the most followed artist on the platform, leading to him signing a record contract with Parlophone.

Sam was selected from hundreds of names to represent the UK in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, following the most intense and high-stakes search. He has been watching the Contest since he was a kid, so the idea of actually performing on it is a little bit "mind-blowing". His main plan is to get out to Turin and sing his head off for three minutes and make his country proud.

Ken Bruce has even promised if Sam wins that he will dig deep into his pocket and buy him a drink!
