Puccini's Turandot from the Met

Puccini鈥檚 Turandot, conducted by Marco Armiliato, with Liudmyla Monastyrska as Turandot, Yonghoon Lee as Cal脿f, Ermonela Jaho as Li霉 and Ferruccio Furlanetto as Timur.

Puccini's final masterpiece is both modern and romantic, a classic of 20th-century opera. Liudmyla Monastyrska performs the title role of the proud princess of ancient China, whose riddles doom every suitor who seeks her hand. She appears opposite Yonghoon Lee, who as Cal脿f the brave prince, sings 鈥淣essun dorma鈥 and wins her love. Ermonela Jaho sings the role of Li霉, the faithful slave girl. Marco Armiliato conducts the Chorus and Orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera House.
