De-Graft Mensah heads to Ghana, the country of his family’s heritage, to find out about the legacy of the British Empire on the country and its people.
He visits Ghana’s capital, Accra, where he learns about life in the country today. De-Graft then heads to the coastal region, home to his family, where he discover the lasting impact left by the transatlantic slave trade. In Kumasi, he discovers how Britain used violence to make a profit from the country, before returning to Accra to learn what modern Ghanaians think about the legacy of the empire.
