Nina Conti and the Edinburgh Arts Festival

Singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, a preview of this year's Edinburgh Arts Festival, and comedians Nina Conti and Kevin Brannigan AKA Big Angie.

Janice will be joined by Kevin Brannigan, the man behind the character of 鈥楤ig Angie鈥, known as the East End鈥檚 Big Darlin鈥 who rose to fame after a 大象传媒 Scotland comedy sketch went viral, ahead of his opening performance at the Merchant City Festival in Glasgow with Big Angie鈥檚 Me, the Polis & the Priest.

Ventriloquist Nina Conti will tell Janice about her Edinburgh Fringe event 鈥楾he Dating Show鈥, and whether there鈥檚 still a place for Monkey on the stage.

Singer songwriter Newton Faulkner talks about his upcoming gigs in Scotland as part of his Autumn tour, headlining Tiree Festival and the Guitar Academy he is set to launch later this year.

Our new Single of the Week comes from 大象传媒 Introducing Scottish Act of the Year finalists, Livingston band Dictator. It鈥檚 called 'Fin' and is written from frontman Michael Campbell鈥檚 West Highland terrier of the same name. He tells Janice all about the new single which features his parents on brass and backing vocals.

Finally we will hear about this year鈥檚 Edinburgh Arts Festival from new Director Kim McAleese, and Jeanne van Heeswijk who creates long-term community embedded projects to work with communities to take control of their futures.
