The Brig Society began the first of its four series to date in 2013, following on from Marcus's long stint as the backpacking idiot Giles Wemmbley Hogg. Each week, Marcus would be put in charge of something 鈥� Housing, Farming, Diplomacy, Exams, the NHS 鈥� and each week he'd start out by thinking 鈥淲ell, it can鈥檛 be that difficult, surely?鈥� and end up with 鈥淥h - it鈥檚 utterly difficult and I鈥檝e made a complete fist of it...鈥�

The show won the 2014 Writers' Guild Award and a Silver at the New York International Programme awards
