Carmen Roberts visits Chile to see some of the ways the country is changing as it faces a once-in-a-generation vote on the rewriting of its constitution. In the Atacama Desert, she visits a water ceremony held by the local indigenous people who stand to gain recognition in the new constitution. In Arica, Carmen hears how the ancient Chinchorro mummies are being more widely understood after recognition by Unesco. Finally, she visits the south of the country in Patagonia, where a vast conservation and rewilding effort is set to impact the area for years to come.
