with Hagan

Jamz talks to DJ and producer Hagan.

Hagan is one to stay true to the hefty UK Bass sound whilst also connecting the dots between his music and his African heritage. Growing up he absorbed sounds such as; Garage, UK Funky, Grime and Jazz. The South Londoner experiments and pushes himself as an artist, with projects such as his 2020 EP 鈥榃aves鈥 inspired by the ballroom scene and Jersey club. He's a dominant force in the Afro-bass sound. Looking back on the early days of his production he said that he started producing music intended for 鈥渁 basement club where the lights are out, you go in and let the bass hit your chest鈥.
