Today, they are joined by writer John Higgs to discuss the relationship between two British cultural institutions celebrating 60th anniversaries this week鈥� James Bond and The Beatles. On 5th October 1962, The Beatles released their first record, 鈥楲ove Me Do鈥�. On the same day, the first Bond film, Dr No, was also released. John鈥檚 latest book explores the relationship and contrasts between Bond and The Beatles and he talks to Mark and Stuart about what he thinks it tells us about modern Britain.
