Bells on Sunday comes from St Michael鈥檚 Church in Mottram in Longdendale in Greater Manchester. The church dates from the end of the 15th century and is built of locally quarried stone in the Perpendicular style, with a major restoration in the mid 19th century when the nave roof was raised in height. The tower houses a ring of eight bells, cast in 1910 by John Taylor of Loughborough. The tenor weighs fifteen and a quarter hundredweight and is tuned to the note of F. We hear them ringing Grandsire Triples.
