Penny Gore presents a week of Afternoon Concert. Today's programme includes a concert given by Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, this time as violinist rather than conductor. He performs Sibelius' Violin Concerto and the Festival Overture by his father, Loris Tjeknavorian, before the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra take centre stage in Elgar's Symphony no.1.
