Buzzcocks co-founder Steve Diggle
Buzzcocks co-founder Steve Diggle picks his Rock God.
Steve Diggle has returned with a new Buzzcocks album - four years after the loss of his bandmate, Pete Shelley.
From the mid-70s until 1981, the band (along with Howard Devoto, who left in 1977) burned bright with their unique Bolton brand of punk, which secured their place as true trailblazers for urgent, heartfelt, explosions of sound.
Even though they split in 1981, the band regrouped at the end of the 80s to bring their sound to a new generation.
After Pete Shelley died in 2018, there was no guarantee that the band would continue. Four years later, the new album, 'Sonics In The Soul', is out.
Steve's Rock God is a bona-fide dead cert - listen to find out who he's picked!
Johnnie's also got new releases from Neil Young & Crazy Horse and young Welsh rockers Those Damn Crows, plus This Week In Rock celebrates the Rolling Stones live.
