150 countries have now signed up to a global pledge launched at last year鈥檚 COP26 to cut methane emissions by 30 per cent by 2030. But there is criticism that even though the largest contributor of anthropogenic methane emissions worldwide is livestock, meat hasn鈥檛 been much mentioned at COP27. Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide - but it is also shorter lived in the atmosphere - so reducing methane emissions would have a more rapid impact on the climate than reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

The Chancellor鈥檚 Autumn Statement 鈥榣eaves the countryside, and those who live in it, behind.' So says the countryside charity the CPRE, which highlights a lack of support on energy prices for people in rural areas. We hear from rural stakeholders.

And we visit a project in Wales where trees are being used to improve people's mental health.
