A Christmas Carol
Mel Giedroyc joins the 大象传媒 Singers and Bob Chilcott for a musical take on Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
鈥淢arley was dead, to begin with鈥�. So begins A Christmas Carol, the iconic Christmas story by Charles Dickens that has done more to mould the idyl of a traditional Christmas than any other story.
The 大象传媒 Singers join Principal Guest Conductor Bob Chilcott and narrator Mel Giedroyc for the UK premiere of Benedict Sheehan鈥檚 A Christmas Carol. Retelling the classic Dickens Christmas story, Sheehan鈥檚 score features original music alongside traditional carols for all the family 鈥� including The First Nowell, The Truth from above, God rest you, merry gentlemen, The Sussex Carol and It Came Upon the Midnight Clear 鈥� but not before a first half-filled with some of our best-loved Christmas choral music.
