Jacqueline is one of the nation’s favourite authors, and her books are loved and cherished by young readers not only in the UK but all over the world. She has created such adored characters as Tracy Beaker and Hetty Feather, and in the UK alone her books sales stand at over 40 million.

Jacqueline started her art from an early age, and had her first short story published when she was 17. She was working as a journalist for D.C. Thomson when she helped found Jackie magazine, and more than 50 years after she started working there, D.C. Thomson now publishes The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag.

Many of Jacqueline’s books have been adapted for TV, including, perhaps most famously, Tracy Beaker. 'The Story of Tracy Beaker' became C´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s highest rating drama and enjoyed multiple spin-offs, including 'My Mum Tracy Beaker' in 2021.

Jacqueline’s books have also been adapted for the stage, including 'The Lottie Project', 'Double Act', 'Bad Girls', 'Midnight', 'Secrets', 'The Suitcase Kid' and the musical 'Tracy Beaker Gets Real'. Most recently, an Olivier Award-nominated adaptation of 'Hetty Feather' toured the UK, which included a West End production at the Duke of York’s theatre.
