One in three people surveyed said they were planning mocktails not cocktails, a t minus the g, a soft drink instead of a sherry, while a third of under 40s now describe themselves as ‘sober curious’. So what’s your approach to alcohol this year – will it be bucks fizz for breakfast on Christmas morning, a day to indulge, or are you cutting back? Will you be expected to have a drink, called boring if you don’t? And the TV schedules are packed with foodie programmes right now – Mary, Jamie, Nigella all encouraging us to make our own mince pies, Christmas cakes, gravy, chutneys… so do you?
