'Ain't got time to fix the shingles!'
One listener is very surprised that Sean doesn't don't know what shingles are.
"What are shingles?" asks Sean. He's been playing the Shakin' Stevens song, This Old House. It has a line in it, 'Ain't got time to fix the shingles'.
Janet's looking at Sean. She doesn't know either.
"I'm very surprised that you don't know what shingles are, when you claim to have built Birmingham!" says Paul in Derry. Gerry in Derry makes the same point.
Johnny Cash says, "did you never see a shingle roof when you were across the pond in America? It's a roof slate made of wood. Old buildings and cottages have them."
"OK," Sean says. "I am the man who built Birmingham. But this was Birmingham, England, not Birmingham, Alabama."
With music from Shakin' Stevens, The Beatles, Neil Diamond, and more.
