It鈥檚 exactly 40 years this week since Liverpool legend Pete Wylie scored his biggest ever hit, The Story of the Blues, with his band Wah! To mark the anniversary, Pete鈥檚 picking his favourite songs for our My 80s slot, including tracks from The Clash and Prince. But what will be his ultimate choice?

Rap icon Rakim turns 55 this weekend and De La Soul鈥檚 entire back catalogue arrives on streaming services next Friday, including their ground-breaking album 3 Feet High and Rising, so we鈥檒l celebrate both events by including them and a host of other favourites in our fantastic Golden Age of Hip Hop Mastermix.

Plus, movie fan Edith looks back at some of her favourite 80s soundtrack songs throughout the show, as well as bringing you the regular Bit in the Middle, and your choice of tune for the Sloppy Bit.
