Radio 2 Piano Room - Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Carlisle - the 80s icon behind hits like Heaven is a Place On Earth and Circles in the Sand performs alongside the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2 Piano Room Month.

First finding fame as the lead vocalist of The Go-Go's, Belinda went on to superstardom as a solo artist, with hits including I Get Weak, Circle in the Sand, Leave a Light On and Heaven is a Place on Earth.

Over the years Belinda has performed in turn as a solo artist and with the reformed Go-Gos, and is still a hugely popular draw on the 80s circuit.

Radio 2 Piano Room Month sees an abundance of world famous award-winning artists gather to perform exclusively with the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra, and each artist will be performing three tracks - a new song, one of their well-known tracks, and a classic cover version from another artist - with members of the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra accompanying.

Plus iconic soul singer Madeline Bell chooses the Tracks Of My Years all this week. A member of the 60s and 70s pop group Blue Mink, Madeline鈥檚 almost as well known for her time as one of music鈥檚 most in-demand backing singers - Serge Gainsbourg, The Rolling Stones, Donovan and Stevie Wonder have all utilised Madeline鈥檚 talents.

Madeline joins Ken ahead of her special 80th birthday concert at London鈥檚 Cadogan Hall on Saturday 18 February, which sees Matthew Jones conducting the English Chamber Orchestra, alongside Madeline, and her friend Kiki Dee join together in celebration of her achievements.

Madeline鈥檚 next two choices are from Joe Cocker and Lorraine Ellison.
