Edinburgh Council's published plans of how it intends to reshape the city and its transport to become a net zero city by 2030. There's to be more bus lanes, more cycle lanes in main roads and wider footpaths. One of the aims is to reduce the number of journeys done by car in the city by 30% by 2030. Meanwhile Glasgow has set out plans to implement a citywide 20mph mandatory speed limit to boost road safety and encourage active travel.
